How do you know when you have a good friend?

When they know, just by looking at you, if something is wrong. When they always have time, no matter what, to hear you whine. When they go out of their way to make your day better. When you can both survive without each other, you'd just rather not. When you can tell them your worst trait and they accept it. When they're just as messed up as you are, and neither of you cares.
