Work. A.K.A. Election time? Sucks.

I really really hate election time. Like, hate with a capital H. Especially this year. This year, our lovely politicians, and the people they pay to like 'em, phone us DURING our lovely Christmas preparations to ask us three things. 1, Have we decided who to vote for? (Yes, actually, and it's not you.) 2, Would we be willing to volunteer with our friendly neighborhood *insert party name*? (No, I'd rather not sound like an idiot over the phone. Really, have some of these 'volunteers' even hit puberty yet?) and 3, Would we like more information about the ideology of said party? (No. Now go away and leave me in peace.)And these are the people we are supposed to elect to represent us in the great institution of democracy. Or not. Who was high when this all got decided?
On a brighter note, I'm working most of this break (50 buckaroos a day in a nanny job, so I'm good!)nannying for four kids, who are high energy but otherwise good kids. Sweet too, they spent a lot of today 'wrapping' gifts for me, which I promptly, and tactfully, replaced within their rooms/house/play area. Cause hey, as a kid, when did you EVER actually mean to give something away? Ya, exactly. Never.
Finally, I must get better. I feel pretty miserable right now, bit of a sore throat and a definate stomach-ache, and as I am sitting again tomorrow, I do need to be decently healthy. Plus, it just sucks when food doesn't taste good or you can't finish what you intended to finish. Like my cinnamon bun this morning. It was tragic, really. All that gooey deliciousness and yummy icing, all melted... and then me, looking at it and going 'Ugh. I can't eat that!' It was sad. Especially because I LOVE melted cinnamon buns. Love love love them. In the food loving sense, not the ACTUAL love sense.
Anyhow, later gaters!
