the long, long, long, loooong overdue rant.

so i haven't watched any of prison break season three.

if you know me, you'll know pb is one of my favourite television shows ever, with emphasis on the ever. not to say i don't have other favourites, just that this one? pretty high up there.

but see, i'd heard these rumours. rumours that sarah wayne callies wasn't coming back.

and the season two finale broke me. it really did. back in jail, and seperated from sara, and...
it broke me.

so when i tried to watch the first episode of the season, i couldn't get halfway. i stopped.

and then i waited. and a few weeks later, i found the official news: sara tancredi's head got shoved in a box.

and prison break ended for me.

i know it's stupid and ridiculous, but when you watch a show, really watch a show, you get to know the characters and care about them. i have the same thing when i read a book or watch a movie. i get invested. and heaven help me, i was invested. but for me, unless i hear sara magically comes back, pb ended on the boat with a happily ever after.

the end.

ps. she deserved so much better. a dignified exit. really. she (both shes, sarah and sara) deserved so much better.

canadians

until moving to europe, i didn't realize quite how many canadians we have in the entertainment business. really.

upc (the digital tv provider) has been playing x-men 3 a lot lately, and i've realized something: it's shot in vancouver (and victoria, yay!), and rogue, iceman, kitty, and kid-who-voids-powers are all played by canadians.
then i'm in the car and michael buble comes on, and everyone knows who that is. and celine. and shania. and dude, we've got NELLY.

we've got some pretty sweet hooks in entertainment these days.

then of course, being me, i figure out that just about everything is filmed in vancouver because hello? cheaper. that everything includes bsg. my day got so much better.

sorry, felt the need to canada-vent.
muwah!

catch-up

in the last little while, a lot has happened.

a little while ago, m. and i had an exciting adventure. we went downtown and m. got a (wait for it) tattoo... it is the sweetest thing i've ever seen. it's a star, and it's gorg. really. i bought clothes, too. shirts. they're awesome.

i've shopped, dropped, and flown away.

and i miss m.

wedding bells are ringing!

so, today i went to my second wedding of the month. which doesn't sound like a lot, but there haven't been any weddings lately, so it feels kinda like a sudden rush of lurve.

and weddings make me sappy. and think of what my wedding, if i ever get that far, would be like. and who, if i could pick anyone to design my wedding dress, would design it (badgley mischka, for the record), what the service would be like (outside), what the pastor would say (short and sweet: do you take? great. you may kiss.)

i sound like such a girl.

and even worse, today, i thought about shoes a lot. i have these huge scabs on the back of my ankle/heel place cause i got new flats and forgot to break them in. and then i thought, shoving my feet into the friendliest heels i could find, who i would wear for my wedding. (louboutin, obvs.)

weddings make me dream. i'm not sure if they're all good dreams.

oh, my boys.

so.

yesterday, elizabeth discovered something wonderful. the sports channel she actually has access too, channel 5 for those curious, played something she cared about.

the euro u-21 footie championship game. in which her boys played against serbia.

and won. for the second year straight, and setting records doing so! (the first team to win as hosts. and probably in shit rain like that.)

anyhoo. she wants to celebrate. she might break out a cider.

ps. for the record? 4-1.

a voyage far far away...

so, i'm excited. really, truly, excited.

in just about 20 days, i'll have graduated. i'll be finished. i can't really process that. but i'm excited.

and in about 2 and a half months, i'm leaving. like, this continent leaving. elizabeth is hitting up holland. finally. for a year.

shit, i'm almost an adult.

what now?
